Michael Russell appointed Rowing Coach for INAS Global Games

Rowing Australia and Sport Inclusion Australia today confirmed the appointment of Michael Russell as the Coach for the Australian 2019 Global Games Rowing Team. The INAS Global Games are held every four years and are the world’s largest event for elite athletes with an intellectual impairment. This year’s Games will be held in Brisbane from 12-19 October.
 
Mr Russell, a Queensland-local, has coached over many years at club, school and state level and has a high level of understanding and experience with working with athletes with an intellectual impairment, having coached Mac Russell of UQ Boat Club to multiple state and national titles in the PR3 category.
 
Selection for the Australian team to represent at the INAS Global Games will take place at the 2019 Aon Sydney International Rowing Regatta in March.
