Sport Australia

Sport Australia provides funding that subsidises the delivery of development and high performance programs which underpin RA’s operations. The continued support of the Sport Australia, both financial and through advocacy and other assistance is vital to the ongoing progress of the sport. RA’s position as a Foundation Sport underlines the value of rowing to the Australian sporting landscape and provides the opportunity to contribute to a number of industry forums that shape Australian sport.

National Institute Network (NIN)

The NIN represents the network of State Institutes and Academies of Sport (SIS/SAS). Rowing Australia has established high performance programs in seven centres around Australia which provide a large proportion of the ARTeam with continued support through the daily training environment.

Australian Olympic Committee (AOC)

RA enjoys a close and harmonious working relationship with the AOC and continues to benefit from the valuable financial and logistical support provided to RA, its athletes and the Australian Olympic Team. The AOC is proud to be able to support Australian athletes to achieve their Olympic dreams.

Australian Paralympic Committee (APC)

Since the admission of rowing into the 2008 Paralympic Games, RA has enjoyed a strong and productive relationship with the APC which continues to provide RA with significant funding to deliver its Para-rowing programs at both grassroots and elite levels.

International Federation of Rowing Associations (FISA)

RA is a full member of FISA, the international governing body for rowing. RA participates in FISA’s program of world championship events, and contributes to the governance of the sport through its participation in the annual World Congress and membership of international committees and commissions.
