Rowing Australia today advises that Simon Cox tendered his resignation from RA last Friday, which was effective from then.
Simon joined Rowing Australia in 2014 after a successful period as Head Coach of the Swiss Rowing Federation. In his time coaching the Australian Rowing Team he worked with a number of crews, including of course the Men’s Four, who, under his guidance, won gold at the 2015 World Rowing Cup 3 and then silver at the 2015 World Rowing Championships.
Simon worked most recently as the Head Coach of the U21 Australian Rowing Team at the Trans-Tasman Regatta. The team had great success, under his leadership, winning back the Rusty Robertson Trophy, after convincingly beating the U21 New Zealand Rowing Team both at home and away.
Rowing Australia is grateful for Simon’s contribution to Australian rowing and wish him all the best for his future endeavours.
