Tara Rigney has represented Australia at the Under 23, World Championships, and Olympic levels.
At the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, Tara and Amanda Bateman finished 7th in the Women’s Double Scull. For the 2022 international season, Tara won a Silver Medal at the World Cup III regatta in the Women’s Single Scull. At the same event at the 2022 World Rowing Championships held in the Czech Republic, Tara qualified for the A Final and finished with a Bronze Medal.
Due to her performances in 2022, Tara was awarded the Hancock Prospecting Female Rower of the Year Award. Off the water, Tara is undertaking a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Sydney. She plans to continue her studies at the Post-Graduate level.
