Alex Lloyd won a bronze medal in his first major international event, the U23 World Championships in 2012. Lloyd made his first senior A team in 2013, winning gold as part of the new look men’s four at the Sydney World Cup. He has been a consistent member of the four since then, winning multiple World Cup and World Championships medals. In 2016, he was named alongside Spencer Turrin in the Men's Pair.
