Tasmanian Ciona Wilson was selected into the Hancock Prospecting Women's National Training Centre in 2017 and in 2018 was selected to her first national team. The nursing student was selected into the Women's Eight squad for the World Rowing Cups and World Rowing Championships.She names two songs as her favourites to listen to before a race, Unwritten (Natasha Bedingfeild) and The Other Side (Greatest Showman). The Tasmanian names Lake Barrington as her favourite place to row, and on making her debut to the senior team in 2018 won two bronze medals (at World Rowing Cup 3 and the World Rowing Championships) and also won the Remenham Challenge Cup at the 2018 Henley Royal Regatta.
