For the 2022 international season, Gleeson was selected in the A.R.T. Women’s Sculling squad.   At the 2022 World Cup II regatta held in Poznan, Poland - Gleeson, Kathryn Rowan, Harriet Hudson and Rowena Meredith were selected to race in the Women’s Quadruple Scull.  The crew qualified for the A-Final and finished in 4th position. Georgie stated her Rowing career at St. Catherine’s and represented her school in the First Eight in 2016.   Since 2017, she has competed for the Mercantile Rowing Club in Melbourne, Victoria.
In 2022, Georgie was selected as a Sweep Reserve for the ART (Australian Rowing Team) 2022 World Championships. At the 2022 World Championships held in Račice, Czech Republic, Gleeson and Eliza Gaffney were selected as the Women’s team reserves that eventually raced in the Women’s Coxless Pair that qualified for the B Final, and finished with  an overall world ranking of ninth.
