A graduate of UC Berkeley, Edmunds is the daughter of Australian Olympic medal-winning rower, Ian Edmunds, and the younger sister of Australian Olympian, Maddie Edmunds. The Queenslander has represented Australia at Junior and U23 level and in 2017 joined the Hancock Prospecting Women's National Training Centre. In early 2018 she was selected for Australia's Women's Eight that raced at the World Rowing Cups 2 and 3, winning a bronze at World Rowing Cup 3. She then went on to make her senior World Rowing Championships debut in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, later that year and won a bronze medal in the Women's Eight.
