New South Wales' James Talbot is set to made his international debut for Australia in the PR3 Mixed Coxed Four at the 2018 World Rowing Championships. The Sydney University Boat Club member, began his rowing career at Balmain Rowing Club. He was involved in a serious motorbike accident which resulted in permanent damage to his hand and wrist. Following this, Talbot was no longer able to play contact sports so decided to get back into rowing (now para-rowing) - a sport he hadn't competed in since high school. Outside of rowing, Talbot works in financial markets as a foreign exchange dealer.
