Kathleen Murdoch made her World Championships debut in 2014, alongside Jeremy McGrath in the Legs, Trunk and Arms Mixed Double Scull. The pair finished with the silver medal. Murdoch was first in both the PR3 single scull and mixed coxed four at the 2013 National Championships as well as second in the PR 3 women’s double scull and under the guidance of Lindsay Callaghan at Nepean Rowing Club has consistently won gold medals at Nationals in the PR3 women's sculling category. Born with cone dystrophy, Murdoch’s sight has severely deteriorated with time and she is now partially blind. She wears a blindfold when she races to help with the issue of glare. She works for Western Sydney Local Health District within Human Resources as a Disability Employment Consultant. In 2016, Murdoch was named in Australia's PR3 Mixed Coxed Four to compete at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games, where the crew finished seventh overall. In 2018, Kate Murdoch makes a return to the PR3 Mixed Coxed Four and will compete at the 2018 World Rowing Championships.
