Kirsten Amy Trengrove Green, known as Kirstie, was surrounded by rowing growing up with her farther being a rower and coach of many schools in the surrounding area. Green lists a number of Australian rowers as her inspiration to start rowing in Year 10, including Deputy Performance Director Jaime Fernandez as well as more recent Australian Rowing Team members such as Fergus Pragnell and Victorian twins Charlotte and Sophie Sutherland. As a part of the Geelong Grammar, Green was part of the Eight that won Head of the River 2014 and then in 2015 the crew went on to win the Victorian State Championships, the Head of the Schoolgirls, the Head of the River, the Under 19 National Championships and also the Schoolgirl Eight National Championships. Outside of rowing, Green is a keen swimmer having been crowned a Victorian Country Swimming Champion in 2010 in Freestyle, while she has also represented Geelong Grammar School in Hockey and Athletics.
