South Australian, Will Smith, is making his Australian Rowing Team debut this year at the Gavirate Para-rowing Regatta. The young South Australian trains domestically under the guidance of Jason Lane and Christine McLaren at SASI. He's currently studying commerce at the University of Adelaide and says the Torrens River is his favourite place to row. Smith became involved with para-rowing after he finished Year 12. Following a successful season with his schoolboy crew at St. Peter's College he was introduced to para-rowing and is extremely proud to represent his country in the sport. Additionally, Smith's impairment is based around vision issues which makes training activities such as single sculling more difficult. However, most of his rowing is conducted in Pairs or Fours meaning this is not significant concern.
