It will be an exciting Day Four at ARC26 with the small boats racing into the first finals of the week, with medal ceremonies set to commence throughout the morning session.
This will be the third time our finalists take to their small boats this week, now competing against the top eight athletes in their age division.
For our Under19, Under 23 and Open athletes, stakes are set as they will not only be competing towards a national title but for an invitation to the Australian Rowing Team selection regatta in April this year.
Among those male athletes who will be racing for a selection trial invitation is Dom Frederico (Mercantile) and Cormac Kennedy-Leverett (Sydney) who is looking promising with the fastest overall time from the semi-finals that took place today.
While Tara Rigney OLY and Paige Barr OLY are looking strong in their Open Women’s Single races, Romy Cantwell (MUBC) and Sarah Fahd (UTS) are both looking strong and could be racing their way into the selection trials.
Adding to the excitement of the morning session tomorrow, will be our Women in Sport Brunch taking place at 10am in the Davies Bay Lodge, which overlooks the finish line.
Our experienced panel will be sharing insights into the amazing achievements of women in rowing as well as creating a discussion around supporting female athletes in our sport.
This year's event will feature Rowing Australia’s CEO Sarah Cook OLY as host alongside NTC athletes Ella Marshall & Katherine Easton, and amazing coaches Christine MacLaren and Caroline Pijpers.
