Rowing Australia has recently updated both its Level 1 and 2 Coach Accreditation courses. The new and improved Level 1 course is now delivered entirely online, using a range of video content and other interactive tools, allowing anyone to gain their accreditation at a time that suits them anywhere in the world. The new course was designed with the assistance of the University of Queensland and is there as an educational resource that coaches can access at any time while they remain accredited.
Since the national launch of the new Level 1 course in July 2016, there has been a fantastic response with 461 coaches signing up to complete the course so far.
Work will start shortly on the review and amendment of the Level 2 course with a planned completion of the project in June 2017.
In October, Rowing Australia hosted a Level 3 coaching course at the Australian Institute of Sport and also the Reinhold Batschi National Training Centre. The five-day course saw 33 coaches from across Australia in attendance.
It is anticipated there will be another Level 3 course held in November 2017. To find out more about this great program contact Ron Batt on [email protected].
