Para Rowing Classification
Rowing Australia’s objective for para-rowing is inclusion: to provide the opportunity for rowers with a physical or intellectual impairment, both men and women, to compete at RA events, FISA events and Paralympic Games.
Please refer to the Paralympics Australia Classification Information Sheet for more information regarding classification and the different sport classes for para-rowing.
Please note: Rowing Australia recognises Intellectual Impairment (II) as a sport class at a National level. II athletes are incorporated into the PR3 category and can compete in any PR3 event at a National level. As Intellectual Impairment is not a para-rowing sport class at an International or Paralympic level, it is not included on the PA Classification Information Sheet.
Please refer to the Policy and Regulation page for all Classification Policies and Regulations.
