The 2025 Australian Beach Sprint Championships (#ABSC25) will take place at Monterey Beach, NSW, from September 18-21.

This year’s event will see rowers hit the sand and surf at one of Sydney’s most accessible coastal locations, with Botany Bay providing the backdrop for three days of high-intensity racing and celebration.

As beach sprint rowing continues its rise on the international stage, #ABSC25 offers a unique chance to witness the next generation of talent in action.

The newly selected Australian Beach Sprint Team will be among the entries, using the championships as a final hit-out before heading to the World Beach Sprint Finals.

Rowing Australia CEO Sarah Cook OLY, said the venue will provide an exciting setting for competitors and fans alike.

“Monterey Beach offers a fantastic stretch of coastline for beach sprint racing and we can’t wait to see athletes from across the country take it on,” Cook said.

“The sport is growing fast, and this championship is a brilliant showcase of what coastal rowing has to offer.”

With categories available across Open, Underage and Masters divisions in solo and crew formats, the regatta is open to rowers of all backgrounds.
