Day Seven of the 2025 World Rowing Championships will see Australia’s two largest boats - the Women’s and Men’s Eights - line up in their A-Finals with medals on the line in Shanghai.
The Women’s Eight will take to the water at 5:05pm (AEST) in Lane 1.
The crew of Georgie Gleeson, Katherine Easton, Sophie Houston, Ella Bramwell, Zara Collisson, Laura Gourley OLY, Jaime Ford, stroke Paige Barr OLY, and coxswain Hayley Verbunt OLY face a world-class field featuring the Netherlands, Great Britain, Romania, Germany and the USA.
Just 13 minutes later, the Men’s Eight will race their Final A at 5:18pm (AEST), also from Lane 1.
The Australian crew of Mitch Salisbury, Alexander McClean, Jack Robertson OLY, Marcus Emmett, Harry Manton, Alex Nichol, Angus Dawson OLY, stroke Patrick Long, and coxswain Nicholas Dunlop will take on Italy, Great Britain, the Netherlands, the USA and Poland.
Both crews will be out to deliver strong performances on the regatta’s penultimate day in front of a packed grandstand at the Shanghai Water Sports Centre.
