Although Australia has a rich rowing history, and once dominated, the world has now caught up.

Rowing Australia needs your help to reach THREE KEY GOALS that will drive our nation towards victory.

Today’s leading nations have more resources and funding support available for their elite rowers. Now, we want to change the story; make history and go for Olympic and Paralympic Gold.
Rowing Australia is giving its all to make this happen, but we need your help.

GOAL 1: Return Australia to a top three position on the Gold Medal tally in Paris 2024

The Issue: The Women’s National Training Centre’s hydrotherapy area and recovery space is incomplete. Help us complete the fit out.

Rowing Australia received funding from our generous patron, Mrs Gina Rinehart, and Government partners to build the Centre in 2017. There is a dedicated room built at the Centre that only needs a fit-out to complete a hydrotherapy recovery space.

The Issue: Secure dedicated funds for rowers to compete at international events. Help us fund additional competition at international events in the lead up to the Olympics, Paralympics.

The man who revolutionised Australian rowing and created a culture that saw the birth of the “Oarsome Foursome”, Reinhold Batschi OAM, says:

“There’s a simple recipe to the sports success at the top level. Competition is the key. You need to expose them to competition so they know how to handle themselves.”

GOAL 2: Ensure a pipeline of talent for LA 2028 and beyond

The Issue: Our current pathway program is missing an essential element; a national activity that provides education to school rowing program participants, who may aspire to be our next Olympic champions. Help us fund regular camps held for targeted school program rowers held at the National Training Centres.

Rowing Australia contributes 50% of ‘Seat Fees’ for Under 23 and Under 19 World Championships and the 21 Trans-Tasman tour.  However, this leaves a cost of up to $8,000 annually that each individual athlete must bear. Help us remove the significant financial burden placed on underage athletes and their families.

GOAL 3: Deliver training environments that support the whole athlete to deliver excellence on and off the water
