Rowing Australia Appoints New Paralympic Head Coach

After an extensive domestic and international search, Rowing Australia (RA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Chad King as our new Paralympic Head Coach.   

 King has over twenty years of experience in both the High-Performance sports and Secondary School industries.  He has extensive coaching experience with the Australian and British Paralympic teams, where he guided athletes in those teams to two Paralympic Gold, one Silver and one Bronze Medal as well as multiple international medals. King has also been the High-Performance manager for Rowing Queensland leading QLD state teams, as well as more recently supporting the French Paralympic team.  

Performance Director, Paul Thompson MBE said, ““We are very fortunate to have Chad joining us. He brings a wealth of experience and success in Para-Rowing, coaching and management experience.”  

 Thompson further commented, “We welcome Chad on board. I’m confident Chad will further evolve our Para program and team, and lead it to future successes.”    

 King shared: “It’s an honour to be appointed to the role. I’m excited to join the Rowing Australia team again and begin working with the current athletes to achieve further success on an international level.”
