Rowing Australia (RA) is delighted to confirm the appointment of Sarah Cook OLY as Chief Operating Officer.
Sarah will lead the ongoing development of the Rowing in Australia Strategic Plan working closely and collaboratively with our State Member Associations. Sarah will also lead on the key growth areas of Indoor Rowing and Coastal Rowing along with Development and other Major Projects.
As a consequence Sarah has resigned from the RA Board, and acting on a recommendation from RA’s Nominations Committee, the RA Board endorsed the appointment of former RA Director Bryan Weir to fill the casual vacancy created by Sarah’s resignation through until the 2022 RA Annual General Meeting.
RA President, Rob Scott said, “On behalf of the RA Board, I would like to express my gratitude to Sarah for her time on the Rowing Australia Board, and we’re excited to have her transition to a role within the Rowing Australia leadership, as the Chief Operating Officer. Sarah will no doubt provide fantastic leadership across a variety of projects working alongside Ian Robson and the wider organisation. I’m grateful to Bryan Weir for also returning to the RA Board to fill the casual vacancy left by Sarah’s acceptance of the role at RA.”
