Rowing Australia is pleased to announce that Community Award nominations are now open for the 2026 Hancock Prospecting Rower of the Year Awards, celebrating the incredible efforts of individuals and clubs within our rowing community!
The Community Awards shine a spotlight on those who work behind the scenes, and who consistently go above and beyond for their community and our sport. We encourage you to take this opportunity to submit a nomination on behalf of these valued members and clubs.
This year we have two new award categories - School Rowing Program of the Year and Club / School Coach of the Year - to acknowledge the incredible school programs being delivered across Australia and the community coaches who devote their time to their local club and/or school.
All Community Award nominations are now open - Volunteer of the Year, Official of the Year, Club of the Year, Rowing Program of the Year, School Rowing Program of the Year, Club / School Coach of the Year, High Performance Club of the Year and the Service to Rowing Award. The award criteria and nomination submission questions have been updated this year and detailed information can be found below.
Nominations close Monday, 5 October 2026.
Winners will be announced at the 2026 Hancock Prospecting Rower of the Year Awards, to be held in Sydney at the Four Seasons Hotel on Saturday 14 November.
