World Rowing, Paddle Worldwide, Rowing Australia and Paddle Australia acknowledge the independent report from Waterproof and confirmation that the Rockhampton Flatwater Course can provide a safe, fair and consistent field of play under the conditions assessed, suitable for Olympic and Paralympic Rowing and Canoe Sprint competitions.
As part of the next phase of venue planning, which includes the Project Validation Report process led by the Games Independent Infrastructure Coordination Authority (GIICA), several additional elements are requested to be confirmed.
These include technical details and confirmation of service levels and facilities needed for Olympic and Paralympic level competition.
