Jessica Morrison, also known as Moz, is a standout heavyweight sweep rower who excels in the bow seat of the pair. 

Jessica's rowing journey began at the age of 21, influenced by a transition from swimming due to a shoulder injury. Her athletic background also includes skiing, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to sports. Jessica's introduction to rowing was guided by her first coach, Lyall McCarthy.

Apart from rowing, Jessica manages to balance her athletic career with her professional life, working part-time as a manager at EY-Parthenon. 

Jessica's pre-race routine is centered around staying relaxed and ensuring she consumes an adequate amount of caffeine—a nod to her hobby of drinking coffee. 

In 2019, Morrison made a significant return to competitive rowing, partnering with Annabelle McIntyre. They excelled in the international season, securing a silver medal at the Rowing World Cup II in Poznan and a gold at RWC III in Rotterdam in the coxless pair category. They also achieved notable success in the Australian women's eight, winning gold in Poznan and silver in Rotterdam. At the 2019 World Rowing Championships in Linz, Austria, they clinched a silver medal in the coxless pair and qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Additionally, they helped the Australian women's eight secure a spot for Tokyo 2020 by finishing second.

During the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, Morrison and McIntyre set a new Olympic record in the coxless four, ultimately winning gold. Despite challenges due to weather disruptions, they also competed valiantly in the coxless pair, finishing seventh overall.

In 2022, Morrison teamed up with American Meghan Musnicki at the Henley Royal Regatta, winning the Hambleden Pairs Challenge Cup. The following year, she continued her dominance with McIntyre, winning gold medals at both Rowing World Cup events and securing their spot for the 2024 Paris Olympics. However, they earned a silver medal at the 2023 World Rowing Championships.

For her contributions to the sport, Morrison was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in the 2022 Australia Day Honours.

The following year, she continued her success with Annabelle McIntyre, capturing gold medals at two Rowing World Cups and securing Australia’s spot for the 2024 Paris Olympics in the event. They also earned a silver medal at the 2023 World Rowing Championships.

Jessica currently sits in the bow seat behind Annabelle McIntyre in the Women's Coxless Pair.
