Meet Your Beach Sprint Team

The Rowing Australia Beach Sprint Team is flat-water rowing's wilder cousin. Beach Sprint and Coastal Rowing have both grown in popularity in recent years. It was announced in 2023 that Beach Sprint Rowing will be included in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games programme 

The World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals is the pinnacle event for the Beach Sprint team.

Who is Eligible for the Beach Sprint Team

  • You must be an Australian Citizen and have official documentation (passport or identity card). In exceptional cases, the Executive Committee may make exceptions.

How do I get involved?

Athletes and coaches wishing to be considered for Beach Sprint team selection must complete the online nomination form (Coach, Rower, Cox dropdown on the form).

The following events were offered at the 2024 World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals:

  • Men's Events: CJM1x, CJM2x, CM1x
  • Women's Events: CJW1x, CJW2x, CW1x
  • Mixed Events: CMix4x+, PR3 CMix2x, CMix2x, CJMix2x
