Kathryn "Kate" Rowan, born on December 16, 1996, in Brisbane, is an accomplished Australian rower with notable achievements both nationally and internationally. Rowan has competed successfully at various levels, including the Junior World Rowing Championships and the U23 World Rowing Championships, where she placed 10th in the W4- event in 2014 and 6th in the W8+ event in 2018, respectively.
At the Australian Rowing Championships, Rowan secured silver medals in the women’s open pair (2022), women’s open single (2021), and women’s open quad (2021). Her contributions to rowing have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the University of Queensland Blue Sport Award (2018) and the Sydney University Blue Sporting Award (2021).
Rowan started rowing at age 13 and has developed her career through affiliations with the University of Queensland Boat Club and St Peter’s Lutheran College Brisbane. Alongside her sporting career, she completed an Honours degree in Chemical Engineering in 2021
