Katrina Werry

Werry is originally from Melbourne and prior to her involvement in Rowing, she was a Junior Black Belt holder in Taekwondo.
She was part of the victorious Victorian crew that won the Queen's Cup (Interstate Women's Eight) in 2015, 2016 and 2017. In 2012 and 2013, she was part of the State's Youth Eight crews.
Werry’s first international regatta was in 2013 where she was selected for the Australian Under 21 team. In 2014, she represented Australia in the Under 23 Women's Eight at the 2014 World Under 23 Championships. The crew finished in fourth place. At the 2015 World Under 23 Rowing Championships, she teamed up with Addy Dunkley Smith in the Women’s Pair and won a Bronze medal.
In 2017, she was named in the Women's Four for World Cups 2 and 3 regattas and the World Rowing Championships alongside Lucy Stephan, Molly Goodman and Sarah Hawe. The crew went on to win both said World Rowing Cups and the World Championships. Based on these said performances, the crew was named as the 2017 Australian Female Crew of the Year at the 2017 Hancock Prospecting Rower of the Year Awards. In 2018, Werry was named in Australia's Women's Eight for the World Rowing Cups. She represented Australia in the Women's Four at the 2018 World Rowing Championships and also raced at Henley winning the Remenham Challenge Cup for Women's Eights.
At the rescheduled Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Werry raced in the Women’s Eight that made the A-final and finished in 5th place. In the 2022 season, Werry was selected into the Women's Coxless Four for World Cup 2, Poznan with fellow Olympian, Bronwyn Cox, as well as Olympic Champions Lucy Stephan OAM and Annabelle McIntyre OAM, where they won Gold.
In 2023 Katrina competed across all three major tournaments, finishing with a bronze and silver at World Rowing Cups II and III respectively whilst also finishing fifth at the World Rowing Championships.
This year Katrina rejoined the women's eight at the World Rowing Cup II and finished finishing fourth.
