Jackson Kench

NSW | Sydney University Boat Club

Jackson attended the Shore School, Sydney and first started Rowing at the age of 13 under the guidance of Coach Glen Bates.  He rows for Sydney University Boat Club (SUBC) and at the 2022 National Championships held at Nagambie Lakes, Victoria, Jackson won the Open Men’s Pair.  He was also part of the victorious New South Wales Men’s King’s Cup Eight at the 2022 Interstate Regatta.

For the 2022 international season, Jackson was selected in the Men’s sweep squad for the 2022 European regattas.  He was part of the two Men’s Eight crews that won a Silver Medal at both the World Cup 2 and 3 regattas held in Poznan, Poland and Lucerne, Switzerland respectively.

At the 2022 World Rowing Championships held in Račice, Czech Republic, Kench stroked the Men’s Eight that won a Bronze Medal. Off the water, Kench is studying an Economics and Advanced Studies degree at the University of Sydney.
