Isobel Egan

ACT | Radford College

At just 16 years old, Isobel “Izzy” Egan is one of Australia’s most exciting young para-rowers. Hailing from Canberra and currently attending Radford College, Izzy has already made a name for herself in the PR3 classification, combining technical skill with fierce determination and a clear love for the sport.

Introduced to rowing at her school, Izzy began her journey under coach Oscar Willink and quickly discovered a natural connection with the water. Her dedication and enthusiasm led to a breakout year in 2025, where she won three Gold medals at the Australian Rowing Championships, claiming top honours in the PR3 Women’s Single Scull, PR3 Mixed Double Scull, and the PR3 Women’s Single Scull Sprint.

Izzy’s goals for the season are clear: win Schoolgirl Quad gold at the 2026 Australian Rowing Championships, improve her sprint finish, and earn her first international appearance representing Australia. Her work ethic and positive energy are already setting her apart as a future leader in the sport.

Off the water, Izzy is equally passionate. She loves baking cakes and desserts, and in her downtime, she paints portraits of her dogs. At school, she studies biology, chemistry, and global studies.

Her favourite sporting moment? Watching Jess Fox win Olympic gold in canoe slalom in Paris, a moment that continues to inspire Izzy as she charts her own path on the international stage.

With composure well beyond her years and a deep love for her sport, Isobel Egan is a name to watch in the future of Australian para-rowing.

Isobel is currently a member of the Australian PR3 Women's Single Sculls and the U23 PR3 Women's Single Sculls
