#ARC26 Day Five Preview: Big boat finals take centre stage

As the Australian Rowing Championships moves into the pointy end, Friday finals are set to lift the energy at Lake Barrington, with larger crowds moving in to experience the excitement.

Para racing will open Day Five of ARC26 as the PR3 mixed double hits the water, with doubles and fours making up the bulk of the morning program across all age divisions.

Open racing is set to commence at 10:50am AEDT, giving what will be the last of our small boat athletes a chance to take home a national title. They will be joined by fours, Lightweight and Para athletes who make up the remainder of the finals for the day.

After a packed morning on the water, Row Nation’s Erg Relay kicks off at lunch in the spectator zone. With teams featuring a schoolboy, a schoolgirl, and two Rowsellas (one female, one male) the race will provide a rare and exciting opportunity to compete with and against our Australian Rowing representatives.

For our incredible parents and supportive 18+ rowing community, Rowing Australia invites you to the ARC Welcome Party at the Bridge Hotel in Forth at 6.00pm AEDT. With live music and great company, we cannot wait to see you there.

The Women in Sport Brunch will take place at 10am in the Davies Bay Lodge, which overlooks the finish line.

Our experienced panel will be sharing insights into the amazing achievements of women in rowing as well as creating a discussion around supporting female athletes in our sport. This years event will feature Rowing Australia’s CEO Sarah Cook (OLY) as host alongside athletes Ella Marshall (TAS) & Katherine Easton (VIC) and amazing coaches Christine MacLaren and Caroline Pijpers.
