Ben Dodwell is Managing Director and CEO at Dais Private, a Real Estate Investment, Development, Funds Management and advisory business based in Sydney Australia. Before this, Ben was the Head of Diversified Development at Charter Hall following the acquisition by Carter Hall of Folkestone Limited. As Head of Real Estate at Folkestone Limited, an ASX-listed Real Estate Investment Company, the business grew from a market capitalization of ~$12m to ~$205m with funds under management of over $1.0 billion. Ben has previously held several senior executive roles at Stockland and Lend Lease where he has been responsible for the operations and profitability of real estate investment and development pipelines in the listed unlisted and private equity markets. During his career, Ben has been responsible for the development and investment performance of a diverse range of asset classes including traditional retail shopping centres, commercial, integrated mixed-use, urban renewal and enterprise parks, apartments and townhouse projects together with land subdivisions, seniors living and hotels.

Ben has a Bachelor of Industrial Design, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a Diploma of Property Finance from the Property Council of Australia. Ben is an Industry Advisory Committee Member for the University of Technology (UTS) Bachelor of Property Development Program and Vice President and Director of Rowing Australia where he Chairs the Audit Committee, Nominations and Integrity Committees.

An Olympic, World Championship and Commonwealth medalist in the sport of rowing, Ben has represented Australia at 3 Olympics, 6 World Championships, 3 Commonwealth Regattas and is also the winner of 7 Kings Cup medals for Victoria where he is an inductee of the Victorian Rowing Hall of Fame. At the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games – Ben and his coxless four crew won a Bronze medal.

A member of the Institute of Company Directors, Ben is a passionate contributor to sport and the development of Aboriginal Australians.
