Eliza Gaffney

Eliza first started Rowing when she was fourteen years of age. After leaving school, Eliza joined MUBC (Melbourne University Boat Club).
At the senior level, Eliza has won three Australian National Rowing Championship medals - Gold in the Women's Four in 2021, Silver in Women's Pair and Bronze in the Women's Four in 2022. In 2020, Eliza was awarded the John Hall Academic Scholarship.
Based on her consistent performances in 2022, she was selected for the Australian Rowing Team (ART) Women’s Sweep Squad. She was also part of the Women’s Under 23 Coxless Four at the 2022 World Under 23 Championships that won a Bronze medal.
At the 2022 World Championships held in Račice, Czech Republic, Gaffney and Georgie Gleeson were selected as the Women’s team reserves that eventually raced in the Women’s Coxless Pair that qualified for the B Final, and finished with an overall world ranking of ninth.
Gaffney now sits in the Bow Seat of the Women's Coxless Four that will race at World Rowing Cup II in Lucerne, Switzerland.
