Harry Fox
VIC | Melbourne University Boat Club
Harry “Foxy” Fox is a Melbourne-based sculler and first-year National Training Centre (NTC) scholar with a Junior World Championship title already to his name. Known for his and technical skill, Harry rows out of Melbourne University Boat Club and has long been seen as one of Australia’s brightest emerging talents in men’s sculling.
He picked up an oar for the first time in Year 8 at Melbourne Grammar School, giving the sport a try at a summer “come and try” day. From the outset, he was hooked. While he also excelled in sailing as a junior, it was rowing’s rhythm, teamwork, and personal challenge that captivated him. Under the guidance of his first coach, Jack Robinson, Harry quickly progressed through the ranks.
Harry’s international debut came in 2019 when he won Gold in the Junior Men’s Double Scull at the World Rowing Junior Championships. He returned to the global stage in 2022, finishing fifth in the Under 23 Coxed Four, before winning Bronze in the Under 23 Men’s Quad Scull in 2023. That event was held at the Tokyo Olympic venue, an experience Harry describes as his most memorable in the sport so far.
Domestically, Harry has built a strong record at the Australian Rowing Championships, winning multiple national titles across junior, under 21, under 23 and open events. From his early victory in the 2017 Schoolboy Sprint Eight to claiming Gold in the Open Eight in 2022, Harry has consistently delivered results in every boat class he’s raced.
Now studying Business at RMIT, Harry is focused on making his mark at the senior level. His 2025 goals include competing at his first World Rowing Cup, representing Australia at the World Championships, and racing at Henley Royal Regatta.
Whether in the boat, the gym, or his downtime reading, gaming or watching movies, Harry brings a quiet intensity and clear sense of purpose to everything he does.
Harry is currently a member of the Australia A Squad.
