After finishing school, Robertson relocated to the United States to continue studying and rowing. He earned a Bachelor of Arts at the University of California Berkeley with a major in Anthropology and minor in Journalism. In America, Robertson received All-Academic honours from the Intercollegiate Rowing Association and the Pac-12 Conference. At the World Championships in Belgrade, his crew triumphed over rowing giants Germany and the USA to win their heat and a bronze medal in the A-Final, securing Australia’s spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics in the men’s eight.
