Jaime Ford

NSW | Sydney University Boat Club

Jaime “J” Ford is a bow-side sweep rower from Curl Curl, New South Wales. A proud Sydney University Boat Club athlete and third-year National Training Centre (NTC) scholar, Jaime has become a key contributor in Australia's women’s sweep squad.

Originally a swimmer and basketball player, Jaime discovered rowing after transferring to Queenwood School for Girls in Sydney, where she was introduced to the sport by coaches Alfie Young and Ciaran Glynn. It didn’t take long for the team-driven nature of rowing to click.

Jaime’s early representative pathway saw her selected for the U21 Australian Rowing Team in 2018 and the U23 team in 2021. Domestically, her career highlight came in 2025, when she helped New South Wales win the Queen’s Cup, a moment she calls her most memorable in rowing.

In 2024, Jaime spent the season based in the UK, training and racing for Leander Club, one of the world’s most storied rowing institutions. Living in Henley-on-Thames and racing on the iconic stretch of river deepened her appreciation for international competition and the global rowing community.

Currently studying a Master’s of Global Health at the University of Sydney, Jaime balances academic pursuit with elite training and racing. Off the water, she enjoys ocean swimming, hiking, and indulging in a bit of online shopping.

Jaime is currently a member of the  Australian Women's Pair Squad, Women's Four and Women's Eight.
