Lisa Greissl

NSW | Lake Macquarie Rowing Club

Lisa Greissl is a proud business owner, and PR3 para-rower making waves on and off the water. A National Training Centre (NTC) scholar, Lisa spent two years as a dedicated reserve before earning her first selection in a boat for the Australian Rowing Team in 2025.

Lisa’s journey into rowing began after life took an unexpected turn. In 2018, she was diagnosed with cancer, resulting in an impairment that qualified her for the PR3 category. Drawing on a lifelong love of sport, first through netball and later distance running, Lisa found a new path in rowing, a sport that gave her strength, focus, and community. Her determination and resilience are matched only by her passion to improve.

At the national level, Lisa has won multiple Australian Championship medals, including Gold in the PR3 Mixed Double Sculls in 2023, Silver in the PR3 Women’s Single Scull, and further podium finishes in 2024 and 2025. In 2025, she will make her World Rowing debut with a clear goal: to make the A Final and convert her power into speed on the international stage.

Outside of rowing, Lisa is the co-owner of Fresh Meals Delivered, a thriving pre-prepared meals company. She also channels her energy into charity work as the founder of The Big Hug Box, a not-for-profit that supports individuals going through cancer. Her hobbies include baking cakes and giving back to the community, two things she does with warmth and heart.

Lisa holds degrees from the University of Canberra (BBA/BMgt) and postgraduate qualifications from the University of Newcastle. She credits coaches Lizzi Chapman and Jeremy Smith for their pivotal roles in her journey.

Lisa brings a fierce, compassionate presence to Australia’s para-rowing squad. Her favourite sporting moment? Watching Australia win its first Paralympic Gold in rowing, a milestone she now chases in her own racing career.

Lisa is currently a member of the Australian PR3 Mixed Double Sculls.
