Nicholas David Green OAM, a distinguished Australian rower, has left an indelible mark on the sport. Born in Melbourne, Green's rowing career is highlighted by his dual Olympic gold medals from the 1992 and 1996 Games, where he was a pivotal member of the famed "Oarsome Foursome."
His prowess extended to the World Championships, where he clinched four gold medals between 1990 and 1998. Beyond his athletic achievements, Green has been a significant figure in sports administration, serving as the Chief Executive of Cycling Australia since 2014.
His contributions to rowing and sport have been recognised with numerous accolades, including the Medal of the Order of Australia and induction into the Rowing Victoria Hall of Fame.
