Sally is an experienced Non-Executive Director, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia. She has leveraged her multi-sector experience and strategic perspective in adding value to government, private and for-purpose boards across health, education, sport and community services. Her board contribution is strengthened by 20 years in leadership roles through to ‘C suite’ level, spanning regional to international contexts - at the AICD, Government House in Canberra, emergency services, higher education and the private sector, with early career experience in health.

Sally’s earlier participation in sport centred on athletics and swimming. She later provided governance advice to various national sporting codes and promoted sound sports governance through her leadership roles at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Sally is focused on adding value to organisations at board-level through good governance; whole-of-enterprise risk management; strengthening safety, crisis governance and strategic communication; and effective influencing of key stakeholders, including government. A trusted adviser to boards, company directors, Federal agencies and vice-regal representatives, Sally is presently a board director, event moderator, Minerva mentor and an Honorary Aide at Government House in Victoria (in a representational and mentoring capacity). She is an active contributor to governance roundtables and research, at the national level.

In addition to a postgraduate-level professional qualification in governance and earlier qualifications in business and management, Sally completed the High-Performance Leadership Program at Oxford University.
