Taylor Caudle
NSW | Sydney University Boat Club
Taylor “Tay” Caudle is a bow-side sweep rower from Canberra, ACT, bringing a global perspective, quiet determination, and sharp competitive edge to the Australian rowing scene. A proud alumna of both the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Oxford Brookes University, Taylor is now based at Sydney University Boat Club and chasing her next breakthrough at the international level.
Taylor’s rowing journey began at Canberra Girls Grammar School under coach Dafydd Gwynn-Jones, following early success in swimming and netball. While she loved sport from the outset, it was rowing that stuck. Her standout moment so far came in 2023, when she won the Island Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta with Oxford Brookes, one of the sport’s most iconic victories.
Now working part-time as a Sales and Marketing Assistant, Taylor balances life outside the boat with her pursuit of excellence in it. Her 2025 goals include competing at her first World Rowing Cup, returning to Henley with winning ambitions, and refining her technical craft, particularly learning to "hang from the lats."
Off the water, Taylor enjoys reading and doing puzzles with fellow rower Emily Sheppard, bringing a thoughtful and methodical mindset to both her training and downtime. With her international experience, academic grounding, and strong club connection, Taylor is poised to make her mark in Australian rowing.
Taylor is currently a member of the Australian Women's Sweep - World Cup Squad.
