Are you an elite rowing coach with a passion for empowering the next generation of athletes?
Tara Anglican School for Girls is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Coach – Rowing to lead our ambitious and high-achieving Rowing Program.

About the Role

This hands-on leadership position offers the opportunity to shape and elevate the Rowing Program within one of Sydney’s most respected girls’ schools. You’ll be responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of all training programs; the development of student-athletes; event and regatta coordination; and the care and maintenance of equipment and facilities.

Working closely with the Director and Assistant Director of Sport, strength and conditioning coaches, and the wider Rowing community, you will foster a high-performance, inclusive and student-centered sporting culture.

About You

We are looking for a coach who can inspire, lead and make a lasting impact. You will bring:

  • Level 3 Rowing Australia Coaching Accreditation (or equivalent) – essential

  • Coaching experience in a school or educational setting – highly regarded

  • Background as an elite rower – desirable

  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills

  • A passion for student wellbeing, growth and achievement through sport

St Joseph’s Nudgee College is seeking a passionate and experienced Sport Director – Rowing to lead and manage our esteemed rowing program. About the Role

As the Sport Director – Rowing, you will be responsible for the leadership and coordination of the College’s rowing program. Your role will encompass:

  • Providing strong leadership and strategic direction for the rowing program.

  • Fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and sportsmanship among athletes.

  • Overseeing coaching, training programs, and development initiatives.

  • Managing program logistics, including scheduling, equipment maintenance, and regatta coordination.

  • Engaging with the broader College community, parents, and external rowing bodies.

  • Supporting the holistic growth of student-athletes, ensuring rowing complements their academic and personal development.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a dynamic individual with:

  • Proven leadership experience in rowing, preferably within a school or club environment.

  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills to manage all aspects of the program effectively.

  • A passion for mentoring and developing young athletes.

  • Experience in an educational environment (preferred but not essential).

  • While the College prefers a candidate with a teaching background, we welcome applications from experienced non-teaching professionals with significant experience in school-based rowing programs.

Position Details

  • Start Date: Negotiable, preferably April/May 2025.

  • Hours: Full-time.

  • Remuneration: Dependent on experience.

  • Closing Date for Applications: 1 May 2025.

We are seeking knowledgable, passionate people to join JRN and write about the Australian rowing circuit. The role would involve becoming part of our Australian writing team and creating content on the upcoming racing season plus, if willing, joining the team again for the 25/26 season.
