Rowing Australia - Account Manager (Athlete Role)

Help shape the future of rowing in Australia from inside the National Training Centres.
Rowing Australia is recruiting a Part-Time Account Manager to strengthen our partner servicing and elevate the way our sport engages with commercial partners. This role is designed for athletes training at the National Training Centres and provide an opportunity to develop professional skills alongside your high-performance career.
This is a developmental role with real responsibility: you will help deliver key commercial outcomes, support content creation, and contribute directly to Rowing Australia’s national partner relationships.

Rowing Australia - Athlete Wellbeing and Engagement Lead
Rowing Australia is seeking an experienced and values-driven Athlete Wellbeing & Engagement (AW&E) Lead to play a pivotal role in supporting Australia’s Olympic and Paralympic rowers to perform at their best, on and off the water.
Reporting to the General Manager, High Performance, this senior leadership role sits at the heart of Rowing Australia’s high-performance system and is critical to delivering our commitment to holistic athlete development and the AIS Win Well philosophy.
About the role
The AW&E Lead is responsible for leading and implementing Rowing Australia’s Wellbeing Strategy, ensuring it is fully integrated with the High Performance Strategy. You will work closely with coaches, performance support staff and athletes to create environments that promote wellbeing, accountability, personal growth and sustainable performance.
This role also provides strategic oversight of education, engagement and transition pathways, supporting athletes through key moments across their careers — including injury, non-selection, major life transitions and retirement from elite sport.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading and embedding Rowing Australia’s Wellbeing Strategy across the high-performance program

Providing strategic leadership and management of the Athlete Wellbeing & Engagement Manager

Delivering contemporary wellbeing and engagement support within an integrated performance team
-
Supporting athletes to balance performance with education, career development and community engagement

Leading Individual Athlete Performance Plan (IAPP) processes alongside coaches and performance staff

Building strong partnerships with the National Institute Network, AIS programs and external stakeholders

Supporting athlete transitions and strengthening alumni engagement and mentoring pathways
About you
You will bring strong experience in athlete wellbeing, case management and high-performance environments, alongside a genuine passion for supporting people to thrive.
You will also have:

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. psychology, counselling, social work, education)

Demonstrated experience in strategy development, athlete support and stakeholder engagement

Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills
-
A collaborative approach and the ability to operate effectively within multidisciplinary teams

A strong understanding of elite sport environments and athlete development pathways
