Rowing Australia welcomes new cohort to National Training Centres for 2025

New aspiring Rowsellas are set to join the ranks at Rowing Australia's National Training Centres (NTCs) for 2025 following an intensive week at the recent National Training Centre Assessment Camps.

These athletes have earned their places at the Reinhold Batschi Training Centre in Canberra and the Hancock Prospecting National Training Centre in Penrith.

The camps, held from November 6-13, saw Under 23 representatives, Australia A, and current Rowsellas athletes train under newly appointed Women's Head Coach James Harris and Men's Head Coach Chris O'Brien.

Through a series of assessments, athletes were reviewed for selection to the NTCs, establishing the new lineup of talent for the upcoming year.

"These athletes have shown tremendous dedication and potential throughout the selection process, and we're excited to welcome them to the National Training Centres," Rowing Australia’s Performance Director Paul Thompson MBE said.

“The environment with the Women's Squad at the Hancock Prospecting National Training Centre in Penrith and at the Reinhold Batschi Training Centre where the men are based in Canberra are designed to bring out the best in our rowers, providing them with the tools, support, and coaching they need to excel.

“We look forward to seeing them grow, both as athletes and as a team, as they work toward representing Australia at the highest levels of competition in 2025."
