Getting involved in rowing is easy and rewarding. Rowing is a sport suitable for people from any age group and for individuals of all skill and fitness levels. Rowing caters for all individuals, from those who are simply looking for fun, fitness and recreation in a friendly, inclusive environment to those who are interested in becoming the best rower they can be. Rowing has successful pathways which carry talented athletes from club rowing to the Olympics.

Rowing is an excellent way for anyone to stay active and to experience the health benefits of physical activity in an enjoyable and social environment.

Rowing also provides participants with valuable life skills and fosters an environment that reflects rowing’s traditional values of teamwork, focus discipline and determination within a club culture that is friendly and welcoming.

Rowing is a sport for life, accessible to people of all ages, genders, fitness and skill levels, and currently enjoyed by over 60,000 participants and 25,000 active members ranging from young rowers at school through to those at universities and in the wider community right through to masters rowing.

Rowing Australia member associations operate in seven states with over 185 schools and 156 clubs offering rowing programs.

BOND UNIVERSITY BOAT CLUB

Description: Bond University Boat Club is a fun and friendly club promoting the sport of rowing within the Bond community. The club caters for rowers of all abilities and is based out of the Rowing Shed on campus. The club competes competitively at many regattas and also runs a Learn to Row Program for beginners.

BRISBANE & GPS ROWING CLUB

Description: The Brisbane and GPS Rowing Club has been rowing on the Brisbane River since 1885 and offers programs for learn to row, junior girls (up to 20 years old), high-performance squad (over 20 years old), competitive masters and social rowing.

BRISBANE ROWING CLUB

Description: Brisbane Rowing Club is a micro club for masters rowers – beginners, social rowers and local, state, national and international competitors – who range in age from 30s – 70s. BUNDABERG ROWING CLUB

Description: Bundaberg Rowing Club celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2013. Being established in 1888 it is one of Australia's oldest rowing clubs. The club is located on two rivers and caters to rowers living in the greater Bundaberg region from Childers through to Gin Gin and beyond. Members row and train on either the Burnett River or the Kolan River.

Description: The Cairns Rowing Club services the sport of rowing throughout the Cairns region and caters for all aspects of the sport, both competitive and recreational. Description: A two day festival of VIIIs racing in the Australian outback consisting of The Outback Springs (a short course Henley-style elimination series) followed by The Head Of The Outback (a 6km race on the Thomson River).
