With over 200 volunteers throughout the 2025 Australian Rowing Championships (#ARC25), we will be providing the ‘Volunteer of the day’ each day of this week to highlight some incredible people helping make this event possible.
Monday’s Volunteer of the day: Brynne Tanton
Brynne is from Launceston, Tasmania and has been both a Rowing Tasmania and Rowing Australia volunteer for four seasons, a dedicated parent signing up when his son (15) started grade seven.
While Brynne loves all aspects of volunteering he particularly enjoys the tower, where he spent last season stepping up into the role of Rowing Tasmania’s Head Judge.
Working this week on the photo finish camera, Brynne is tasked with analysing the moment each bow ball crosses the line, noting down each time and often determining close finishes.
He is spending every day of the #ARC25 in the tower, ensuring every athlete receives accurate results.
Over the weekend when there were troubles with catering Brynne was the first to raise his hand to help.
Taking the time to drive to Launceston, he visited three different Coles ensuring all volunteers would have enough food throughout the week.
Our volunteers' willingness to give their time in moments of challenge such as this makes this premier regatta possible.
