Stellar performances at World Rowing Cup I reignite Olympic dreams

The green light has been given for the Men’s Quad Scull and Lightweight Women’s Double Scull to compete at the Final Olympic Qualification Regatta in Lucerne, Switzerland later in May. Oscar McGuinness will join these crews as a Men’s Scull reserve.  

Rowing Australia’s High Performance Committee has approved the boats to be entered into World Rowing Cup II for a final chance to qualify for the Paris Olympic Games, which begin in late July. 

The two crews and McGuinness will join the rest of the Australian Rowing Team (ART) at the AIS European Training Centre to start preparations for the regatta. 

The athletes selected are as follows: 

Men’s Quad Scull (M4x)

(b) Jack Cleary (West Australian Rowing Club), (2) Caleb Antill (Australian National University Boat Club), (3) Campbell Watts (Sydney University Boat Club), (s) Alexander Rossi (West Australian Rowing Club) 

Women’s Lightweight Double Scull (LW2x)

(b) Anneka Reardon (ANU Boat Club), (s) Georgia Miansarow (Sydney University Boat Club)  

Men’s Scull Reserve
