Fraser Miscamble is a Victorian sweep rower whose passion for the sport was ignited by watching his older brother take to the water. Raised in Melbourne and educated at Scotch College, Fraser first picked up an oar in Year 8 and never looked back. His junior career was marked by standout performances, including consecutive wins at the APS Head of the River in 2018 and 2019, and a finals appearance at the prestigious Princess Elizabeth Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta.
Fraser’s development accelerated during his time at the University of Melbourne, where he completed a Bachelor of Biomedicine and a Diploma of Languages in German. A recipient of the Jopling Family Rowing Scholarship, he balanced academic excellence with a rising trajectory on the national rowing stage. Representing Melbourne University Boat Club, Fraser collected multiple national titles across U21, U23, and Open Men’s eights and fours.
Internationally, Fraser made his Australian debut in 2022 at the World U23 Rowing Championships, finishing fifth in the Men’s Coxed Four. He returned in 2023 to win Silver in the Men’s Coxless Four in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, his most cherished sporting memory to date. In 2024, he made the step up to the senior team, racing at World Rowing Cup I and finishing eighth in the Men’s Four.
A bow-sider known for his rhythm and poise, Fraser thrives in crew boats and has quickly established himself as a valuable contributor within the national sweep squad. His goals for 2025 include podium finishes at the World Cups, winning the Grand Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta, and a World Championship medal in Shanghai.
Outside rowing, Fraser is a language enthusiast, a saxophonist, and an avid footy fan. He is currently preparing for further studies and remains committed to pushing the limits of his performance both on and off the water.
