Kate Elizabeth Slatter OAM (left), now Kate Allen, is a celebrated Australian rower who has made significant contributions to the sport.

Born on November 10, 1971, she began rowing at the Adelaide University Boat Club in 1989 and quickly rose to prominence. Kate is a three-time Olympian, securing Australia's first Olympic gold in women's rowing in the coxless pair at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics alongside Megan Marcks. She also won a silver medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and a World Championship gold in 1995.

Throughout her career, she accumulated sixteen national championship titles and represented Australia with distinction at numerous international competitions.

Kate's dedication and success have been recognised with her induction into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame and the awarding of the Order of Australia Medal.

Her legacy as one of Australia's finest female rowers continues to inspire future generations in the sport.
