Day Six of the 2025 World Rowing Championships promises to be one of the most exciting yet for Australia, with Paralympic legend Erik Horrie OAM PLY and the Men’s Four lining up in A-Finals to chase world titles.
Horrie, a triple Paralympic medallist and five-time World Champion, will race in the PR1 Men’s Single Sculls Final A at 4:20pm (AEST). Drawn in Lane 4, he faces strong competition from Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Ukraine and France as he looks to add another chapter to his remarkable international career.
At 5:19pm (AEST), Australia’s Men’s Four of Nikolas Pender, Fergus Hamilton, Austin Reinehr and Alexander Hill OAM will contest the A-Final from Lane 1. They take on the Netherlands, Great Britain, Lithuania, Romania and France in what is expected to be a fiercely contested race for medals.
The day also features several other Australian crews across Semi-Finals and B-Finals. Romy Cantwell will compete in the Women’s Single Sculls Semi-Final 1 at 2:35pm against a field including South Africa, Great Britain, Denmark, Germany and the USA.
In Para-rowing, the PR3 Mixed Double Sculls of Sam Stunell and Lisa Greissl line up in Semi-Final 2 at 3:10pm against India, Great Britain, Brazil and Spain.
Later in the afternoon, Oscar McGuinness and Mitchell Reinhard will race in the Men’s Double Sculls Final B at 3:37pm, before Emmie Frederico, Eliza Gaffney, Georgina Rowe and Jacqueline Swick close out their regatta in the Women’s Four Final B at 3:45pm.
