Golden Coxed Four headline memorable regatta for Next Gen stars

The Australian Under 19 Rowing Team has shown impressive potential as they finished a collective seventh at the 2024 World Rowing Under 19 Championships in St. Catharines, Canada.

Australia entered six crews into the regatta, with five racing for medals on the final day of competition.

Two crews came away with medals; the Men’s Coxed Four (Gold) and the Men’s Double Sculls (Bronze).

Jason Lane, Head of Pathways at Rowing Australia, said the collective results of the Under 23 and Under 19 crews showed the talent pipeline for Australian flat-water rowing was highly encouraging.

“To win seven medals across both teams is an outstanding achievement and is a testament to the hard work the athletes and coaching team put in over the last few months,” Lane said.
