Nikki Ayers and Jed Altschwager, two of Rowing Australia's standout Paralympic athletes, made history by becoming the first Australian Para rowers to win gold in para-rowing at the Paris 2024 Paralympics.
The dynamic duo secured their victory in the PR3 Mixed Double at both the 2023 World Rowing Championships in Belgrade and the 2024 Paris Paralympics.
Ayers, a former rugby union captain, and Altschwager, a South Australian athlete who overcame a life-changing injury, have demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination, carving their names into the history of Australian rowing.
